Transcending Monument Detroit Hart Plaza River Front. Sculpture by David Barr is a stylized gear and was created to represent Untied Auto Workers labor union and automotive workers. This work of art was erected on the historic sight of Martin Luther Kings famous "I Have A Dream" speech and contains a phrase from his speech "The arc of history bends toward justice".

This site is also the "Gateway to Freedom" of the under-groud railroad. Shot could be used to show automotive, motor city, UAW, Auto Workers, Labor Union, Martin Luther King Historic Site, civic organizations, underground railroad, slavery, freedom, labor organizations, workers union, automotive gear, automobile, gateway to freedom, or historic site.
